My Contributions to the Project
A brief bulleted list of things I worked on or created during my time on this project. Feel free to click the plus signs if you’re interested in more details about certain entries.
Never Forget the Classics
My first combination to the video (4:22) was more of a massive joke than anything else, as it harkens back to the ancient past of 2008 when YTPMVs and Zelda CD-i parodies were all the rage. A high quality remaster of the eternally memed morshu cutscene had (at the time) recently been uploaded by the incredibly talented animator Hoolopee (feel free to check them out). Given their release of a green screen version of the animation for the public to freely use, I thought to use it in conjunction with the original 1993 voice lines in my remix of the Staff Roll theme to ensure the video’s audience would get a good laugh out of it.
A Fun Anecdote
My second (and more serious) contribution to the video (5:02), was a remix in the style of the music of the Danganronpa series: a game series that despite having fallen out of love with in recent years, was a massive inspiration to my personal composing style, and had a community where I met some people I now consider to be lifelong friends. I’ve worked on and off as a composer for some fan projects involving Danganronpa, and it’s allowed me to have a pretty good understanding of how to replicate the games’ signature music style.
